Sumbawa

East of Lombok lies Sumbawa, a large and remarkably undeveloped island known for world-class surf breaks like Lakey Peak and vast, empty coastlines.

The public ferry from Labuhan Lombok arrives at Poto Tano in west Sumbawa, from where buses and private transport continue east across the island.

For overland adventurers, Sumbawa is the bridge between Lombok and Flores on the classic island-hopping route through Nusa Tenggara.
